An office of the Free Russia Forum opens in Sweden

Russian political emigrants and activists of the Free Russia Forum established a regional office of the FRF in Sweden. Its coordinators are philosopher, historian and politician Andrei Gorin, artist and designer Masha Trotsky, businessman, volunteer, moderator of the largest Swedish FB-page about Russia _Ryssland – allt som rör Ryssland!_ Mats Hulten, well-known theater figure, musician, philanthropist and creator of the independent radio project “Echo Stockholm” Maksim Lapitsky and artist, art history teacher and political activist Vera Gutman.

Among the goals and objectives of the branch are support for Ukraine, assistance to Russian volunteers fighting on the side of the Ukrainian armed forces, and participation in the formation of sanctions lists against those who in one way or another help Putin’s regime and are promoters of the war, cooperation with Swedish institutions to convey the agenda of the Russian opposition, assistance to Russian citizens who have left the Russian Federation because of their anti-war stance, as well as public events and charitable activities.

The past year 2023 was marked by the fact that the Free Russia Forum went beyond the borders of Lithuania, where it was established: FRF offices were opened in Finland, Germany and Latvia, and events initiated by the Forum were held not only in Vilnius, but also in Riga, Warsaw and Tallinn. In the fall of 2023, FRF activists in Germany successfully held a charity event “Victory Roads” for the benefit of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, thanks to which an off-road vehicle and communications equipment were sent to the front.

The Free Russia Forum continues to work on creating a network of regional branches in different countries. If you would like to participate in this work and become a representative of the FRF in your region, please write to info@forumfreerussia.org with the note “Regional Branch”.
