Russian forces struck the Zaporizhzhia district on the morning of April 9, killing one person and injuring four others. This was reported by Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.
According to him, at least eight strikes were carried out. Private homes were damaged in the town of Balabyne.
Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, reported that two people were injured as a result of Russian attacks in three districts. In the Nikopol district, he said, apartment buildings, private homes, a garage, and cars were damaged; in Pavlohrad, shops and residential buildings were hit; and in the Synelnykove district, cars and private homes were damaged.
On the evening of April 8, as reported by the Ukrainian energy holding DTEK, Russian forces struck a substation in the Odesa region. The company said its specialists were inspecting the damaged equipment. “As soon as the security situation allows, we will begin repairs. We will do everything possible to restore electricity to homes as quickly as possible,” the statement said. The head of the Odesa Regional Administration, Oleh Kiper, also reported damage to a critical infrastructure facility without providing further details, according to Current Time.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia attacked Ukraine with 119 drones overnight into Thursday, 99 of which were shot down by air defense forces. Another 16 drones fell in 11 locations, the statement said.
