Russia has stepped up its military support for Iran amid the war in the Middle East, The Wall Street Journal wrote on March 17, according to summaries by the Telegram channel UNIAN and Lenta.ru.
According to the WSJ, this includes the transfer of satellite imagery, intelligence data, and components for upgraded Shahed drones to improve navigation and targeting.
In addition, Russia is advising Iran on drone warfare tactics, drawing on its experience from the war against Ukraine — in particular, on the number of drones used in attacks and the altitude at which they are deployed. Analysts note that Iran’s strikes have already begun to resemble Russian tactics.
Experts say that such support, although limited, significantly increases Iran’s ability to carry out precise strikes against military targets.
