A fire broke out at an oil depot in the Tikhoretsk district of Krasnodar Krai after a drone attack, according to the regional оперативный штаб (operational headquarters). The area of the fire has expanded to 3,800 square meters. No injuries have been reported.
“Two hundred and fifty-seven people are involved in the firefighting effort, including specialists from Russia’s Emergency Situations Ministry, 69 pieces of equipment, and a firefighting train,” the operational headquarters said.
Residents of Tikhoretsk reported explosions. Footage of the blaze shows two separate sources of fire. An analyst from the Telegram channel Astra suggested that fuel storage tanks are likely burning.
Russia’s Defense Ministry reported that 80 Ukrainian drones were shot down overnight on March 12, including 30 over Krasnodar Krai.
In Anapa, classes at universities, schools, and kindergartens were canceled due to the threat of drone attacks. Duty groups will remain open in kindergartens, the operational headquarters said.
