15 Countries Commit to Defense Support for Ukraine in 2026

In 2026, 15 countries have taken on commitments to provide defense support to Ukraine, Ukraine’s Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal reported on Telegram following a meeting of Kyiv’s allies in the Ramstein format, RBC wrote on December 17.

The UNIAN Telegram channel provided more detailed information:

  • Germany will allocate €11.5 billion in 2026 for military support;

  • The United Kingdom will strengthen Ukraine’s air defense capabilities with £600 million, funded through frozen Russian assets, the UK budget, and partner contributions;

  • Canada will provide an additional CAD 30 million for drones;

  • The Netherlands pledged €700 million for UAVs;

  • Montenegro, Denmark, and New Zealand will contribute to PURL, an initiative that enables NATO allies to purchase U.S. weapons for Ukraine;

  • Estonia will contribute €9 million to the IT Coalition;

  • Lithuania will allocate more than €200 million in 2026 for military support to Ukraine, while Latvia will continue assistance at no less than 0.25% of GDP—about €110 million;

  • Luxembourg will provide €100 million in support for Ukraine, as well as $15 million under PURL;

  • Norway pledged approximately $7 billion in total military assistance;

  • Portugal will allocate €10 million for UAVs;

  • Poland will supply 155 mm artillery shells, and the Czech Republic will finance the delivery of 760,000 artillery shells.
