At least 15 people were injured in the Sumy region as a result of a Russian drone attack during the night of October 31, according to the regional police.
Head of the regional military administration, Oleh Hryhorov, reported that ten drones were launched toward the city of Sumy within one hour. “The strikes were directed at civilian infrastructure,” Hryhorov stated.
One of the drones hit a nine-story residential building, igniting five apartments and seven balconies.
“Civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged — including a gas station, a railway station, an oxygen plant, a locomotive, a dormitory, and three multi-story residential buildings. In addition, four passenger cars were damaged,” the police said.
The strikes also targeted railway infrastructure. In Sumy, a passenger depot was hit, destroying utility buildings and rolling stock. Railway infrastructure was also damaged in the Kharkiv region, near the frontline city of Lozova.
