An oil depot in Feodosia is on fire after a Ukrainian drone attack

On the night of October 6, Ukraine launched a massive drone strike on Russian territory and the annexed Crimea. In Feodosia, an oil terminal — the largest on the peninsula — is on fire.

The terminal had already been targeted by drone attacks before. According to the Telegram channel Crimean Wind, after previous strikes, only 22 of the 34 storage tanks at the depot remained operational.

In Russia’s Krasnodar region, a refinery in Tuapse was attacked. Authorities reported two people injured, claiming that a non-industrial facility caught fire and that the blaze was extinguished.

In the Belgorod region, local officials said drones attacked energy infrastructure, partially cutting power to 24 settlements, including Belgorod, a city of 320,000 before the war.

In Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod region, drones allegedly attacked the Sverdlov explosives plant, Astra media reported, citing local residents. The regional governor, Gleb Nikitin, claimed that industrial facilities were not damaged in the attack.

Russia’s Ministry of Defense stated that 251 Ukrainian drones were shot down overnight — most of them over the Black Sea (62), Crimea (40), Kursk (34), Belgorod (30), and Nizhny Novgorod (20) regions. It did not specify how many drones managed to get through.
