20 years ago, the Kasparov.Ru website was launched. Almost simultaneously, the United Civil Front – the first opposition structure to openly declare the need to break Putin’s regime – appeared. At the time, our agenda sounded harsh and even marginal. Most people still hoped for an “evolution” of the system through elections.
“Kasparov.Ru became an important reference point for those who realized that the country was sliding into a fascist abyss. It was one of the key information resources during the Dissenter marches and protests of 2011–2012. Kasparov.Ru was not just a media outlet, but a certain space of resistance, uniting people of different political views, but with one common goal.
The world is changing. Communication channels are changing, and we must meet these challenges. That is why we are announcing the reform and relaunch of Kasparov.Ru. While retaining our ideological core and unconditional anti-Putin stance, we are building a new approach to the dissemination of our agenda. The renewed Kasparov.Ru will become an active player in the digital field, primarily in social networks.
For many years, the name Kasparov.Ru has been associated with a consistent and rigid anti-Putin stance and with defending an ideological course that, as we now realize, has proven to be the only one in demand among those who truly want to dismantle the Putin regime and seek to give our country, Russia, a chance to break Putin’s deadlock.
