Ukrainian intelligence intends to carry out a new attack on the Crimean bridge

The Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry is going to carry out the third attack on the Crimean bridge since the beginning of the war. This is reported by The Guardian with reference to sources in the Ukrainian intelligence service.

Military intelligence of Ukraine expects to be able to put the bridge out of action in the near future. “We will do it in the first half of 2024”, one of the officials told the British newspaper. He said GUR chief Kirill Budanov already has “most of the means to accomplish this task”. It is expected that the attack could be carried out using drones.

According to The Guardian, the attack on the Crimean bridge is part of a plan to “minimize” Russia’s presence in the Black Sea approved by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
