In the evening of January 10, the Russian army shelled Kharkiv – 12 people were injured, one is in serious condition. This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv regional administration Oleg Sinegubov.
Ten wounded required hospitalization, two people remain in hospital on the morning of January 11. According to Sinegubov, the strike – tentatively, two S-300 missiles – hit the hotel, where more than 30 civilians were at the time of the attack. The building was damaged and several cars caught fire in the parking lot.
Kharkiv mayor Igor Terekhov said that Turkish journalists were among the injured, and in addition to the hotel, residential buildings, a car dealership and a manufacturing plant were damaged.
The National Police of Ukraine specified that one of the injured was a journalist of the Turkish Anadolu Agency. A case of violation of the laws and customs of war has been opened on the fact of hitting a civilian object.
