In Sergiev Posad at the Zagorsk optical-mechanical plant there was an explosion. About it reports TASS with reference to emergency services.
The agency says that, according to preliminary data, the cause of the explosion is not a drone. At the same time, according to the Telegram-channel “112”, the drone struck the building. Five people were injured. Baza reports that at least sixteen people are injured, there may be more people under the rubble.
The explosion occurred in a warehouse with pyrotechnics. According to media reports, windows were blown out in neighboring houses. The destruction of houses also reported by eyewitnesses.
RIA Novosti with reference to representatives of local authorities notes that at the optics-mechanical plant after the explosion announced “total evacuation”. Law enforcers and the head of the district arrived at the site. Also, the governor of the Moscow region, Andrei Vorobyov, arrived at the scene of the explosion.
According to the website, the company is “a leading developer and manufacturer of optical and optoelectronic devices for law enforcement agencies, industry and healthcare”.
