More than a hundred mercenaries of Wagner PMC moved to the border of Poland

More than a hundred mercenaries of Wagner PMC have moved towards the Suwalki corridor. This is reported by Polish agencies PAP and RMF24 with reference to Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

“Now the situation is becoming even more dangerous. We have information that more than 100 mercenaries of the Wagner group have moved towards the Suvalki corridor near Grodno in Belarus”, Morawiecki said.

The Prime Minister believes that what happened is “a step towards further hybrid attack on the Polish territory”. He also notes that in recent years, the number of attempts of illegal border crossing from the territory of Belarus to Poland and other EU countries has sharply increased.

Prime Minister suggested that the mercenaries of Wagner PMC would masquerade as Belarusian border guards and help illegal migrants to penetrate the territory of Poland.
