G7 and Ukraine sign declaration on military assistance and security guarantees

The leaders of the G7 countries and the Ukrainian president announced at the end of the NATO summit in Vilnius the signing of a declaration on military assistance and security guarantees to Ukraine by the G7 countries.

The declaration states that the G7 countries commit themselves to ensuring Ukraine’s defense and security on the basis of long-term bilateral agreements.

According to our correspondent in Vilnius, Volodymyr Zelensky said that the Ukrainian delegation was “taking home an important victory in the security sphere”.

“This gives completely new opportunities to ensure our security”, Zelensky said.
