Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant may experience a disaster after July 5

The Zaporizhzhya NPP, which has been seized by the Russian military, is in the spotlight. There is speculation that a man-made disaster could be orchestrated there.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova wrote in her Telegram on June 30 that since Ukraine has organized exercises in case of nuclear threats, it means it is preparing a terrorist attack at the nuclear power plant.

The head of Ukrainian intelligence Kirill Budanov said that Russia has technically prepared everything to stage a man-made disaster at the Zaporizhzhya NPP (UNIAN information). The GUR has learned that Rosatom employees and Ukrainian employees who signed contracts with the “occupants” were ordered to leave the Zaporizhzhya NPP by July 5.

The situation resembles what happened to the Russian embassy in Ukraine. Before February 22, 2022, documents were removed from it, embassy employees left the country, and on February 24, Russia deployed its troops on the territory of Ukraine.
