The Ministry of Justice added Grebenshchikov, Sota.vision and Bumaga to the registry of “foreign agents”

The Ministry of Justice declared “foreign agents” the publications Bumaga and Sota.vision, as well as Boris Grebenshchikov, the founder of the group Aquarium. This was announced on the ministry’s website.

In addition, the list includes journalists Andrei Karaulov and Alexei Gorpinchenko, Moscow City Duma deputy Mikhail Timonov, Deputy Chairman of the Moscow Yabloko Andrei Morev, former Chief Rabbi of Moscow Philip Goldschmidt, and the autonomous non-profit educational organization Anglo-American School of Moscow.

According to the Ministry of Justice, Bumaga and Sota.vision distributed materials of “foreign agents” and “misleading information about the decisions taken by the public authorities of the Russian Federation and the policies they pursue”.

Grebenshchikov was recognized as a “foreign agent” for speaking “in foreign countries for the purpose of providing financial assistance to Ukraine” and for speaking out against the war.
