Ukrainian army hits bridges on the road to Crimea with missiles

Volodymyr Saldo, head of the occupation administration of the Russian-occupied part of the Kherson region, announced that the Ukrainian army struck missiles on bridges on the road leading across the Syvash bay to Crimea. The bridges were damaged.

As Saldo wrote, the strike was carried out on bridges near Chongar.

“The road surface was damaged on the bridges. There were no human casualties […] Communication between the Kherson region and Crimea continues to operate – temporarily organized traffic of vehicles on the reserve route […] the passage of cars will be restored in the very near future”, Saldo wrote.

He suggests that the strike was carried out by Storm Shadow missiles.

The road through Chongar is the shortest route from Crimea to Melitopol and on to the southern front, where the Ukrainian army is now trying to advance.

When exactly the strike was carried out, Saldo did not specify. The Armed Forces of Ukraine did not report it.
