Kherson regional authorities warn of the threat of Russian provocation at a chemical plant in Crimea

Aleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson regional military administration, said that Russia is preparing provocations at the chemical plant Crimean Titan, which is located in Armyansk in the north of the Russian annexed peninsula.

Prokudin made an “urgent video message” in his Telegram channel, in which he revealed that the Russian military had brought explosives to the plant and was now mining its territory.

Prokudin did not say how the Kherson authorities obtained this information. At the moment, the BBC has no confirmation of this information from independent sources.

The explosion at the chemical plant could lead to the release of a toxic cloud into the atmosphere, the official warned, urging at the same time to remain calm.
