Prigozhin announced the beginning of the withdrawal of Wagner PMC fighters from Bakhmut

The founder of the Wagner PMC Yevgeny Prigozhin announced the withdrawal of his mercenaries from Bakhmut.
“We are withdrawing combat units from Bakhmut. <…> Until June 1, the main part is relocated to the rear camps. We transfer positions to the military. But if it is difficult for the military, we will leave those who had a major role in the capture of Bakhmut”, reads the recording published in the Telegram channel of his press service.
Prigozhin reported the capture of Bakhmut on May 20. Ukraine did not officially acknowledge the loss of the city, but the reports of the AFU General Staff have disappeared from its reports about military operations in Bakhmut.
