Biden announces new military aid package for Ukraine at meeting with Zelensky

The BBC reports that the Ukrainian and U.S. presidents met on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Hiroshima and Joe Biden announced a new military aid package totaling $375 million, Reuters reports.
Biden mentioned that the package includes “ammunition, artillery, armored vehicles”. The administration will usually release more details later.
According to Biden, the U.S. is doing everything it can to strengthen Ukraine’s defense. And he also said he supported Ukraine’s goals in the war: “We also support your desire for a just peace. There’s only one aspect of sovereignty and territorial integrity that should not become negotiable. It just has to happen”.
