The Putin administration has banned high-ranking officials from resigning during the war, Important Stories reported, citing sources.
“I know of at least two cases in which governors tried to resign from their posts, but the UVP not only banned them, but hinted at criminal cases”, a former FSB official told the publication.
The interlocutors of Important Stories also told that the dismissal ban is informal and illegal, so there may be exceptions to it – for example, for health reasons or for corrupt reasons.
