Last night, Ukrainian drones attacked more Wildberries logistics centers in Krasnodar and Nevinnomyssk. Congratulations to the Ukrainian Armed Forces on another effective military operation!
The “howl in the swamps” is already audible—a wave of statements from “anti-war Russians” and avowed experts questioning, and often downright denying, the legitimacy of Ukrainian military strikes on such targets. I would like to remind all these commentators once again: Russian citizens, who consider themselves part of the civilized world, have no moral right to comment on Ukraine’s actions, at least as long as the war continues. As citizens of a country waging this monstrous, genocidal war, they should remain silent!
It’s clear to me that all WB logistics centers are an unconditionally legitimate target for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. And it’s not just that these centers are significant smuggling hubs, supplying the Russian occupation army and defense industry enterprises desperately in need of sanctioned components critical for missile and drone production. Ukraine, as the target of unprovoked military aggression, with years of continuous strikes on its territory, has every right to any form of military response to the aggressor. Period. It’s hard to imagine a serious German or Japanese politician today who would demand that Truman and Eisenhower be recognized as war criminals for unprovoked attacks on civilians. And this is despite the fact that the Anglo-American allies didn’t hesitate to carry out devastating bombings of cities.
The link between the intensification of Russian strikes against Ukraine and damage to Russia’s largest online retailer also does not stand up to criticism.
This intensification is solely due to the overall deterioration of the situation for Putin. The goal of the war, which he set from the very beginning—the destruction of Ukraine as a state—has not been abandoned.
The intensification of attacks on civilians is a continuation of the war Putin has been waging since the fourth day of the conflict. When it became clear that Kyiv could not be taken, Russia began the methodical extermination of Ukraine’s civilian population.
Everything within reach of Russian criminals will be destroyed. The Russian dictator, long since out of touch with reality, sees this as the only way to force Ukraine to capitulate. He simply has no other options: the overall situation on the front is unchanged, there have been no gains there for a long time, and, judging by everything, there won’t be any in the foreseeable future. More and more conscripts and contract soldiers are being thrown into the military meat grinder, all in vain. The overall situation in Crimea is noticeably worsening—constant blackouts, problems with electricity, fuel, and food.
In this situation, Putin needs some kind of action. The only effective way to do this is to kill civilians.
Every day I wonder how much more patience the Ukrainians have. Clearly, they, too, are capable of killing Russian non-combatants in large numbers. Things can’t get any worse. Putin has already thrown everything he could at them. They could, but they’re not doing it. And herein lies the fundamental difference: if Ukraine waged war the way Putin is, Moscow would be a mountain of corpses. Fortunately for Russian citizens, Ukraine rightly considers itself a civilized state and, for this reason, wages war according to the norms accepted in the civilized world today. Because it is a free country fighting for the values of the Free World. Unlike those who are now trying to destroy Ukraine and those who try to justify it, including Russia’s “liberal rabble.”
